Kano state govt extends lockdown by 1 more week as COVID-19 death toll rises to 32
Kano state was recently on two weeks lockdown recently imposed by the Kano State Government, this luckdown has been extended by President Buhari.
The President on the 27th of April announced a two weeks lockdown in the state as part of measures to curtail and reduce the spread of the ravaging Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the State.
The Commissioner for Information with the name Muhammad Garba, said in a statement that the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has extended the lockdown by one more week to further reduce the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The extension came as the state recorded 6 more COVID-19 related deaths on Monday May 11, bringing the death toll to 32 in the state.
Kano state now have the total of 666 confirmed cases, the state is currently the second state with the highest number of detected COVID-19 cases after Lagos with 1933 confirmed cases and the country's total confirmed cases of the coronavirus is 4641.
