COVID-19: Eritrea officially virus-free with 100% recoveries and zero deaths

Eritrea which is officially called the State of Eritrea, is a country in East Africa situated in the Horn of Africa, with its capital at Asmara. It is bordered by Sudan in the west, Ethiopia in the south, and Djibouti in the southeast. The northeastern and eastern parts of Eritrea have an extensive coastline along the Red Sea.

Eritrea officially declared themself virus free from the COVID-19 virus, after all their 39 infected patients of COVID-19 recovered from the virus.

The statement from the Ministry of Health said the 39th patient had been discharged from hospital as of Friday, May 15.
