Agency intercepts truck with 30 Almajiris hidden amongst pepper in Ogun State

Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) is a paramilitary outfit of the State Government established with an enabling Law of March 9th, 2005 as amended 25th September, 2007 and placed under the Public Order and Safety Sector alongside with Judicial Commission and Ministry of Justice. The outfit is a social service rendering agency of the state apparatus.

The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency with the acronym TRACE reported that its operatives intercepted a truck loaded with over 30 Almajiris at Joju area of Ado-Odo/Ota local government area of Ogun state, Nigeria.

 

The truck which was an IVECO with the Registration number: Kano XG172 KNG, was supposed to be carrying only goods and was covered with a tarpaulin in disguise for people not to know.

 

The operatives forced the driver to park and untie the tarpaulin, which lead to the discovery of the content of the truck. When the driver did, the operatives found Almajiri’s loaded in the truck with pepper in the truck.

 

The truck was said to have been turned back and led to tollgate, the border area between Lagos state and Ogun state, where they said they came into the state from.
