Why did the USA not impose lockdown from the beginning?


Today I'll be sharing with you my own personal knowledge and what i think was behind the United State of America not imposing early luckdown, even though they knew the risk behind it, as the world had started going through hard time and imposing luckdown.

As in most countries, until they recorded their first case, the reaction of how they'll control the virus awakens, and those without cases are relaxed except some countries e.g. Denmark. As the number of case is just 1, most countries over look it and some don't even want people to know about it, and try to keep it secret so as not to affect the economy of the country, leaving boarders open, airport open and allowing more infected people into the country. As the case increase and the government officials starts getting sick and important people in the country, then an alarm is raised, which by then since the virus is a respiratory virus it spreads fast and with full speed, just the way money spread. This allow more number of cases in the country to increase, and as no symptoms is gotten as at point of entry of the virus, the virus spreads with full speed because infected people don't know they are carrying the virus or sick.

This is what i think happened in U.S.A, they had few cases and didn't know the virus had isolated itself into a host that is resistant, spreading the disease. As the rate of spreading increase, more people get infected. By the time the government knew about this, the number of cases has sky rocketed and the government had no option than to impose a luckdown. I think the fact that the cases were detected late caused the delay in luckdown. As at today 19th of April, the United States of America has the highest recorded number of cases of about seven hundred and sixty two thousand people (762,000) and still counting.
